Hi there, I am a wedding photographer in Pune but being a destination wedding photographer I shoot all over but Hyderabad has a different connection with me. I end up shooting many Telugu weddings every year 🙂
Anil and Leela were planning a pre-wedding couple shoot in Hyderabad as they wanted to avoid crowded places. The pre-wedding was initially planned in Taj Falakhuma. But destiny had some other plans.
We almost shifted our shoot to Botanical garden, Hyderabad but decided otherwise. The garden was first suggested by a guest when I was shooting a wedding at RSI Club at Secunderabad near Hyderabad. Here is a back story on how we landed upon these locations.
Anil’s cousin messed up with the bookings in Falaknuma. We were not able to shoot as per our initial plans. So here comes plan B into the picture. It is not difficult to guess the top three locations for a pre-wedding shoot in Hyderabad. So we ended up doing a couple-shoot at Charminar, Golconda Fort, and Chowmahalla Palace. Here are a few pictures from the session.
Important: You need prior permission to shoot at Golconda Fort and Chowmahalla Palace from ASI ( Archaeological Survey Of India )
Pre-Wedding Couple Shoot at Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace and Golconda Fort in Hyderabad
Here are few more from Vidhya and Raghu’s pre wedding shoot at Golconda Fort, Hyderabad. More pictures from Botanical Garden are here.
Did they allow you to do the photoshoot at Chowmahalla Palace? They say no SLR cameras allowed. Did they give you any trouble?
You can shoot only with permission
Can you please tell how to get permission from ASI… Like any email id or anything so that i can take prior permisdion for shoot
Hi Saioni,
You need to go to the local ASI office physically or just go to the Golconda fort ticket window and pay on the spot.
Hey great article! Can you post any link where I need to apply for ASI permission for photoshoot at Chowmohalla palace (I called up a person, he is saying no photoshoot allowed there).
Thanks.
Hi Avinash,
Thanks for stopping by! Unfortunately, these things rarely work for public places. You might have to visit them and ask the “right” person. Many weddings are also held at Chowmahalla so they do allow but yes it may not be as easy as at a private resort.
